Who am I

As a native of Phoenix, AZ, my journey toward running for City Council began with a deeply rooted commitment to uplifting others, a passion ignited during my formative years within a  family heavily engaged in community work.

Growing up, my family instilled core values centered on integrity and responsibility. "Your word  is more important than your credit score," they would say to me, emphasizing the significance of  honesty and reliability shaping a person’s character. This foundational belief laid the  groundwork for my unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in people's lives.

My path toward becoming a community leader was paved with diverse experiences that enriched  my understanding of humanity and artistry. From my early days as a member of the Phoenix  Boys Choir to studying at Boston Arts Academy, I immersed myself in various art forms, developing a deep appreciation for cultural expression and solidarity.

Driven by having a servant's heart and a profound sense of duty, I founded The SEEN, a  nonprofit where I serve as Board President. The SEEN champions inclusivity and support for  BIPOC LGBTQIA+ individuals in Phoenix, fostering community through resource distribution,  events, and innovative programming.

My community impact extends beyond The SEEN. I also serve as Board Chair for Phoenix  Center for the Arts, actively contribute to the Roosevelt Action Association and Roosevelt South  community. My involvement is characterized not by self-interest or personal gain, but by a  genuine desire to effect positive change and enhance the wellbeing of my local community.

My work is more than a profession; it reflects my upbringing and values. All my efforts are  guided by a steadfast belief in the power of authenticity, integrity, and empathy. Through my career endeavors and community leadership roles, I will continue to embody the principle that  true success lies in making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
